DAI is designed with layers of security that protect your enterprise from virtually any threat. Your VMs are placed in their own VLAN. Dedicated Virtual firewalls will be configured to accommodate connections between VLANs with different security tolerances. You can access a firewall interface from the management console and choose an existing application protocol to enable or disable ports. You can also employ application firewalls for additional Layer7 security. Anti-virus protection is available on all machines and systems are continuously monitored.
The Intrusion Prevention and Detection Management Service helps prevent break-ins that can infect a network. By using layered architecture, the threat of attack is reduced and isolated for immediate response. The prevention portion of the service marries the business traffic to the configuration of the system. The log files and traffic streams are reviewed to allow the system to free the “good” traffic and block the “bad” traffic. The focus of the service is prevention—but it also collects forensic evidence to improve the functionality of the system.
